About Monograms:
Initials & Monograms don’t necessarily have to be your own. There is an increasing trend to wear cufflinks and jewellery that belonged to ancestors. For example, you might wear an item of jewellery that is engraved with initials that are not yours. The initials may be that of your Grandfather, who may not even have the same surname as you.
When it comes to buying pre-owned vintage jewellery, you are the only one who knows where you got this item. You could even make up a story about who they belonged to, or just say it was your Grandfather. Who’s going to know?
